Surface buoy (SURF)
The SURF buoy floats on the surface, simplifies gear retrieval, collects data, and can self-release if dragged underwater. Receive frequent GPS updates based on your settings and locate the buoy with the super bright blinking LED-lights integrated into the buoy.
Submerged Buoy (SUB)
The SUB buoy connects to whatever passive fishing gear you use down to 350 meters. It collects data like temperatures and depth at the fishing site and self-releases based on your timer settings. Receive frequent GPS updates upon surfacing for easy retrieval, and get notifications for various events, including theft.
Combined SURF-SUB
Get the full potential of the bLink buoy system by using one SURF and one SUB bLink-buoy. This system gives you maximum control over your fishing gear by utilizing the advantages of both SUB and SURF at the same time. If the SURF buoy is accidentally cut off, the SUB buoy will release and provide regular GPS updates to help you track its location for easy retrieval.

The bLink system is backed by Narrowband LTE within a robust 4G network, ensuring seamless data sharing with its owner. This technology allows for wireless customization of bLink's settings based on your preferences. Furthermore, the system automatically updates itself whenever necessary, guaranteeing optimal performance at all times.
While 5G technology is advancing, it is important to note that 4G offers significantly better range over the sea compared to 5G (This applies to the Norwegian coast), making it the superior choice for offshore applications where long-distance connectivity is crucial. The future of bLink will leverage 5G satellite technology to extend coverage to areas beyond the reach of today's 4G network, combining the best of both worlds for ultimate reliability. This will give us the opportunity to provide our bLink service globally.
Some of bLink's features
The surface buoy provides flexibility by allowing you to always get its position when it's in use, how often you get the position updates is up to you. It is always attached to your fishing gear via the rope, either as a primary buoy or as an additional buoy.
Due to the limitations of sending signals underwater, the underwater buoy is equipped with an innovative time-based trigger, which you can adjust in your settings. The countdown starts when the buoy and gear set into the water, and you can easily follow the countdown and status changes via your dashboard in the app. In case you can't locate your gear, the buoy automatically releases. Connected to your gear at all times, once released, you can retrieve the fishing gear using the attached thread. The maximum load capacity for the thread varies with thickness. The thinnest, at 1.0mm, can withstand a breaking strength of 136kg. You can choose thicknesses between 1mm and 4mm, the length and breaking strength will differ based on thickness.

bLink helps fishermen optimize future fishing trips by collecting key environmental information like water temperatures and depths, directly from the buoy’s GPS location. Over time, this data provides insight into when and where it’s best to fish, saving you valuable time at sea. By combining information from both surface and underwater buoys, fishermen can identify optimal areas based on the environmental conditions where their gear is being used.
Our technology only collects anonymized data to ensure user privacy. This data can also support national research, such as better weather forecasts and environmental monitoring, without sharing sensitive details.

Just keep fishing as you always do, but now with bLink's benefits. Change the settings for your bLink buoy, simply hook it to the fishing gear and deploy it into the sea. If you prefer, we can assist in setting up the bLink system to align seamlessly with your workflow. When you retrieve your gear, the buoy has already created a session in the app. Later, at your convenience, you can easily rate your catch or log specific information about fish species and quantity.
